I haven't exactly searched, but I've not seen Pheasant avians of any kind. The idea for Physaeus (fi-SAY-us) was born on the road to Wichita. Unfortunately, pheasants aren't as common here as they used to be :/
But I will say that he's the most colorful bird I've created. As in, he bears the most colors in his plumage.  He was fun to color, I'll say that; and I discovered a way to create the illusion of iridescence with colored pencils!  (Trust me, his blackish plumage looks iridescent in real life  ) And again, his name is a (rather far-fetched this time) twist on the genus name, Phasianus colchicus. ^^Coruscina: [link] Eirdeya: [link] Catalina: [link] Seruliya: [link] Art is (c) me |
