So sad...

Tue Jul 28, 2009, 12:09 PM
This is old news, but I just found out that another Deviant has passed away. I felt I should help contribute to her, somehow, no matter how belated.

`hakubaikou, or Charlene Sun, was killed in a car accident this year, I think sometime in January or February judging from the journal currently on her page. I didn't know her, but when I saw her art, I was in awe. She had so much potential still yet, and she was a fellow RuroKen fan. She was a phenomenal digital artist; she would have gone very far in life.

God bless, Haku. You are missed.

Her family and film school friends have set up a scholarship fund in her name, which people can donate to. There's a link in the journal, and the account *ForHakuBaikou was set up en memoriam. Her family has chosen to keep all her art up for the rest of us to enjoy.

Let us not take each other for granted. For we never know when another of us will be gone.

Best wishes to the family and friends of Charlene Sun.

~Chobe

it's always so sad to hear about things like this. I feel nothing but sorrow as I see her gallery as it was truly amazing, she was greatly talented. Death is a sad thing, but unfortunately it is a part of life, but at least we have hakubaikou's art to remember her by, and she left a great gallery, I only wish I had the chance to know her.

you can't spell believe without lie, and you can't spell slaughter without laughter, isn't it funny how life works, I say enjoy it, life is a joke, and the punch line is death

*nodnod* I felt this way after ~aurora-starwing was killed, too. Didn't know her, either, but it still felt like I did.
May the powers that be watch over us all.

Not to sound horrible, or anything, but I don't feel as upset as I was when Aroura died. I think it's because she was murdered, whereas Haku died in an accident.

That's not to say I'm not saddened.

Hey Hawk, you mean miss Katie? I was said to hear of that news as well. Accident or murder...death is simply put..death. My prayers to the mourning family.

*nodnod* Yeah, I understand. To me, it's still a death and a loss of someone's sister or child. I'm just really sympathetic like that, though; I'll cry even if I don't know the person who passed away.
